Despite doctors assuring his parents they would never have children, Joel William Rogers came totally unexpected. Born on the 7th day of the 7th month of 1977… 7 minutes after his less un-expected twin brother Jeff. He likes playing rock ‘n roll on his electric guitar and loves telling real stories – including the made-up ones. Sometimes those stories are tattooed on dead trees, but more often they flash up on screens before hiding in people’s minds. He has American & French nationality but will not ask you to pardon his French. Joel currently lives in Kona, Hawaii with his viking-surfer-designer-wife Benedicte, his scientist-artist-freerunner son Ethan and his hula dancing-painter-comedian daughter Lily.

More About Joel

YWAM Kona’s University of the Nations campus is a place of great vision. Maybe anywhere that hosts thousands of young, sold out followers of Jesus who have left everything to serve would experience this kind of “open heaven” atmosphere that many remark on when they arrive here? These buildings are just tools. But God is using every part of our campus to see students and staff experience massive life changes and take His love to the nations!
